I have several medical issues. I have a seizure disorder that requires two expensive medications. I had gastric bypass in 2002 and my pancreas failed in 2005 - a possible complication of the gastric bypass that caused 75% of my pancreas to be removed. Because of this, I have a continuous glucose monitor that takes my blood sugar level every five minutes. This also left me with chronic pancreatitis and type two diabetes that requires medication. I've been to the hospital at least 18 times in the last 18 months for pancreatitis. The pancreatitis and gastric bypass have also caused anemia and other problems that stem from malabsorption. I have no insurance.
