Two years ago I developed Grave's Disease causing me to become ill, quit my high-stress teaching job and become uninsured. Cobra is too expensive for people on unemployment or no income. Eventually, I found a community program that stabilized me for a while and allowed me to find a new job. When I went into remission, I was again forced to quit my job and become uninsured. I now cannot afford the doctor's fees and testing costs.
