I woke up one morning with a sharp pain in my stomach. I attempted to go to work, but my condition deteriorated rapidly. I knew what it could be, but because of the lack of insurance, I grasped at every other possibility. After a few days of rest, the pain grew worse and my husband forced me to go to the hospital. Apparently, my appendix had ruptured. I spent the entire week in the hospital, had three cat scans and one ultra sound. I am the bread winner of the family, but with no insurance, I have no idea how to pay next month's rent.
